Our Story

Since 1983, Oceans East has strived to supply anglers in Virginia Beach, VA with the local knowledge and supplies they need to tackle their next big adventure on the water. In 2019 we added to the Oceans East family with a location in Nags Head, NC to help serve our Outer Banks customers with a local location and deeper knowledge of the North Carolina fishing industry and in 2020 we expanded to the Eastern Shore of Virginia with a location in Capeville, VA. Over the years we have built a team that has over 100+ years of combined experience fishing the local waters and traveling the world to some of the top fishing destinations. Whether you’re fishing the Chesapeake Bay for cobia, searching for tuna out of Oregon Inlet, or traveling to exotic fishing destinations in Costa Rica, our team has the knowledge and experience to help you get the right gear and catch that fish of a lifetime. With three locations and an extensive online inventory, Oceans East is here to serve anglers and allow them to pursue their passions on the water with the best bait, tackle, and expertise there is to offer!
