Shipping & Handling Policy
Our goal is to ship your order quickly and accurately. We reserve the right to utilize any service necessary to meet our delivery commitment.
Orders that are placed on or before 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time will be shipped that day (Monday – Friday). Any order placed after 2:00 p.m. will be shipped the following business day for in-stock item(s). Tracking numbers and status are available through the Oceans East Order Status Page.
Example: If an order is placed on Friday at 2:01 p.m. EST, and Overnight Delivery is selected, the order may not be processed and shipped until the following Monday. The carrier will pick up that Monday and the package will arrive on Tuesday. For urgent orders, please call us at (888) 885-2488 so we can work with you to get your order to you as soon as possible.
FREE SHIPPING POLICY
Any free shipping promotion will only apply to orders shipping to the Contiguous United States. This excludes Alaska, Hawaii and other US territories.
We will ship with either USPS Priority Mail or UPS ground which may not include Saturday delivery for orders with free shipping. If you need your order as soon as possible, we recommend using an expedited method.
Exceptions: Bulky and heavy items, such as fishing rods, gaffs, and coolers are not eligible for free shipping promotions and shipping charges may be calculated after the order is placed. Please note that this list is to provide examples and other items that do not fall into these categories may also not be eligible for free shipping. GENERAL SHIPPING POLICY
Most orders will be processed and shipped within 1 to 3 business days (Monday – Friday, excluding National Holidays).
All domestic orders will be shipped via USPS or UPS at our discretion. Please note that any special instructions or requests to ship via services other than those offered may not be followed.
Oceans East Inc are not responsible for delays in delivery once the package has been given to the carrier. This applies to expedited methods as well.
Orders shipping to PO boxes or military addresses will be sent via the USPS.
Oceans East Inc is not responsible for the shipment once it has been handed to a carrier.
Oversized packages are charged based on dimensional weight as imposed by our carriers. This may be the reason for seemingly high shipping charges for relatively light weight products. Items with high dimensional weights include fishing rods, gaffs, coolers, rigging buckets, bait trays, bait tanks, tackle boxes/bags, and outriggers. Please call for details.
Drop-Shipped Orders may include extra shipping and handling costs that will be added on after the order is placed.
If your order needs to be shipped to a US address outside the Contiguous United States, including Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico or other US territories, please allow an additional 1 to 2 days for delivery.
Orders Including Rods or Gaffs will incur a $8.00 charge for a protective rod shipping tube.
IN STORE PICKUP
Wait for a confirmation email that your order is ready for pickup before heading to our store.
Bring your ID card. This is required for pickup and your order will not be released to you unless we can confirm that your identity matches the billing information on the order.
It will usually take 1 to 6 business hours to get your in store pickup order ready. Larger orders will tend to take longer to get ready.
There is a 20% restocking fee for In Store Pickup orders that are not picked up and/or canceled after 21 days of pick up notification. There may be a higher restocking fee for customized items. See our Return and Exchange Policy for more information.
In Store Pickup orders are only processed Monday through Friday. Once processed, orders may be picked up when the store is open, including Saturday. However, orders placed Saturday or Sunday may not be available for pickup until processed, which may begin the following Monday.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING POLICY
International orders may be shipped UPS, FedEx or DHL. We do not offer international shipping through any other carriers at this time.
Orders being sent to international addresses will incur additional charges - expect a minimum shipping/handling charge of $35 to Canada or Mexico and a minimum shipping/handling charge of $45 to other international destinations - Prices calculated online are estimates. Customers will be contacted should shipping charges exceed that of which they were quoted online. (All international shipping/handling charges are based on package size, weight, and eventual destination.)
Oceans East does not collect taxes or duties for international orders. International orders may be subject to taxes and duties and it is the responsibility of the customer to pay these taxes and duties.
Abandoned international shipments are not eligible for refund or credit.
No order will be shipped without receipt of total payment.
An active telephone number of the recipient is required for all deliveries.
A backordered item is an item that is listed on our website that we currently do not have in stock. This backordered item must be ordered by a vendor or supplier in order to bring it into stock and fulfill the order. This item may not be in stock for a variety of reasons including but is not limited to: product demand, seasonality, or general supplier stock.
Any items that are backordered will be shipped to you when they come into stock in our Virginia Beach fulfilment location. You generally will not be charged for any backordered items during the original purchase. You will not be charged any additional shipping charges for items that are on backorder.
Oceans East reserves the right to cancel any backorder where the value of the backordered item is under $25. International Orders must ship in full as we will not send multiple shipments for international orders.
Any backordered items that we cannot fulfill in our Virginia Beach location within 30 days will be canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. If you have paid for any backordered items you will be refunded using the original payment method. We cannot hold backordered items for more than 30 days except in the case of new items that are listed as Pre-Order.
